ENERGY LEVEL 11-15: SHAME

Shame is one of the lowest emotional states. It makes people feel worthless, small, and like they don’t belong. In this state, people may give up on life—either by harming themselves or by slowly stopping care for their health and safety. People in shame often want to disappear. They avoid eye contact, hide, or isolate. Feeling shamed can come from painful experiences, especially early in life, like abuse or rejection. If not healed, shame can shape a person’s whole life, leading to anxiety, depression, or illness. Some react to shame by becoming overly strict, judgmental, or trying to be perfect. Others may turn their pain outward—hurting others, acting out, or becoming violent. Shame disconnects people from themselves and others. It feeds other negative emotions like guilt, anger, and false pride. It’s a heavy state that pulls a person down in every part of life.
