ENERGY LEVEL 6-10 : HUMILIATION
The emotion of humiliation arises when an individual feels deeply embarrassed, degraded, or devalued, often as a result of being exposed to criticism, rejection, or public shame. It is typically tied to a perceived loss of dignity, respect, or social standing, leaving the person feeling small, powerless, and intensely self-conscious. Humiliation can trigger a range of secondary emotions such as anger, sadness, or shame, and often leads to withdrawal, defensiveness, or a desire to hide from others. This painful emotion can undermine self-esteem and trust in relationships, reinforcing feelings of vulnerability and inadequacy. However, when processed with self-compassion and perspective, experiences of humiliation can also offer lessons in resilience, boundaries, and the cultivation of inner strength beyond external validation.
